摘要
On the condition of strong electron-LO phonon coupling in an asymmetric quantum dot (AQD), the eigenenergies and eigenfunctions of the ground and the first excited states (GFES) of an electron under applied magnetic field are calculated using variational method of Pekar type. A single qubit can be realized in this kind of two-level quantum system. When the electron is in the superposition state of the GFES, the electron’s probability density oscillates in the AQD with a certain period T0=23.106fs\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$T_{0} = 23.106\,\text{fs}$$\end{document}. Moreover, due to the presence of the different harmonic potentials, the dependence of the electron’s probability density on the coordinate of z\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$z$$\end{document} is different from that on the coordinates of x\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$x$$\end{document} and y\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$y$$\end{document}. Besides, the oscillating period is a decreasing function of the cyclotron frequency of a magnetic field and polaron radius.
