We consider the distributed control problem for the wave equation with memory, where the kernel is the sum of decreasing exponential functions and the control is bounded in modulus. We prove that the oscillations of the system can be brought to the state of rest in a finite time. © 2022, Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.
