Abstract: The production of WC–Co alloy by spark plasma sintering under pressure is proposed. The influence of the sintering conditions on the structure and mechanical properties of the alloy is investigated. We show that the composites obtained by spark plasma sintering have better mechanical properties than those produced by traditional hot pressing. © 2019, Allerton Press, Inc.
