Study design: Occlusion of the infrarenal abdominal aorta with administration of pentoxifylline was applied to adult rabbits, followed by removal of aortic clamp and reperfusion. Tissue levels of cytokines, lipid peroxides, and antioxidant enzymes were assayed and compared within groups.
