Charles Omondi Oyaya and Dan C.O. Kaseje revisit some of the well established paradigms and approaches to development that have dominated international discourse and presents the essential elements of the dignified living (EEDL) approach as an alternative towards achieving the objectives of dignified living and sustainable development. The authors argue for new thinking, a new approach, new tools and new values to make development sustainable, relevant and beneficial to all. © 2001 The Society for International Development.
