Influence of structure of silver coating on the optical properties of the heat reflecting glasses of energy conserving glazing

The computer modeling method is used to study the influence of the structure of a silver coating on the optical characteristics of the heat reflecting films. The objects of modeling were the SnO2-Ag-SnO 2 and TiO2-Ag-TiO2 materials without protective coatings and with the Ti, Ni85Cr15 protective coatings. It is shown in the framework of the fractal model that the optical constants of the structured film improve with increase of the filling factor. It is found that the spectral distribution of the transmissivity of the heat reflecting coating with the protective layers depends weakly on the value of the filling factor and the thickness of the structured silver film. © 2007 Allerton Press, Inc.
