摘要
Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is fundamentally associated with a considerable reduction in the health-related quality of life. As PAD is a common healthcare problem, defining the optimal strategy is important. Measurement of health-related quality of life is useful for healthcare decision making and differential indications. It has been show that endovascular procedures for symptomatic PAD substantially improve the short and midterm quality of life of PAD patients. To achieve long-term success, a combination of endovascular procedures and supervised exercise therapy should be strived for. © 2017, Springer Medizin Verlag GmbH.
