摘要
E-waste recycling is gaining popularity because it has the potential to reduce waste while also removing environmental hazards. It's the process of recovering new materials from scraps at a low cost with little energy and time investment. The recovery of nanomaterials (NMs) from e-waste is a new field of nanotechnology and environmental science. This process has two benefits: it improves the environment by reducing the accumulation of hazardous elements in soil and water as a result of e-waste landfill, and it has the potential to save money by using e-waste as a source for high-value materials like gold, platinum, copper, and palladium. This study outlined how new low-cost and energy-efficient technologies can be used to recover NM from various types of e-waste. It also discusses recent research on the extraction and recovery of various high-value NM from e-waste, as well as the difficulties that come with e-waste NM recovery.
