Compact Multiband Monopole Antenna for ISM Band 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth, WiMAX, WiFi Applications

摘要
In this work a multiband monopole antenna for wireless communication is proposed. The proposed antenna offers good compactness, multi-band, good peak gain and broadband simultaneously. The proposed antenna is designed by PTFE substrate with dielectric constant 2.4. The simulations have been done with different configurations of the patch on the modified ground plane. Four frequency bands of 1.425–1.445, 2.260–2.445, 3.385–3.555 and 4.09–5.0 GHz at 1.44, 2.35, 3.45, 4.45 and 4.91 GHz are obtained. The simulated and measured peak antenna gain of 2.81 and 3.4 dBi with 80.6% compactness are found. The fabricated antenna is used in 2.4 GHz ISM band, WiMAX, WiFi and Bluetooth communications.
