摘要
Telomerase allows cells to grow indefinitely, and is expressed in the majority of human cancers. New data suggest, however, that telomere maintenance might be a stumbling block on the path to immortalization and that inhibition of telomere replication can attenuate human cancer cell growth (pages 1164–1170) .
