摘要
Metabolic syndrome is a combination of risk factors, including abdominal obesity, hypertension and dyslipidaemia, known to increase the risk of developing diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular disease. By assessing cardiovascular risk, treatment can be tailored to the individual patient's needs, with the aim of reducing the overall risk of cardiovascular diseas. © 2008 Adis Data Information BV.
