摘要：
Die Tinea capitis ist weltweit bei Kindern bis zum 12. Lebensjahr verbreitet. Die schwerste Form ist das Kerion Celsi mit schmerzhaften Abszessen und Lymphadenopathie. Wir berichten über einen 11-jährigen Jungen mit Kerion Celsi, der zunächst unter der häufigen Fehldiagnose einer bakteriellen Infektion antibiotisch therapiert wurde. Nach mykologischer Diagnostik konnte eine Infektion mit Microsporum canis gesichert werden. Es wurde die orale Therapie mit Griseofulvin eingeleitet, die zur kompletten mykologischen Abheilung nach 8 Wochen Behandlung führte. Eine narbige Alopezie konnte nicht mehr verhindert werden. Bei purulenten Infektionen der Kopfhaut ist bei Kindern immer eine frühzeitige mykologische Diagnostik erforderlich.
