摘要
It is established that when plates are rolled in work rolls operating at different speeds, the direction in which the front end of the plate bends is determined by the plate’s thickness and temperature, the shape factor of the deformation zone, and the difference in roll speeds. It was determined that the finish rolling of plates in the 20–40-mm thickness range must be performed with allowance for the combined effect of three asymmetry factors – geometric, thermal, and kinematic. New asymmetric deformation regimes were developed for rolling with different work-rolls speeds with allowance for the effect of the shape factor of the deformation zone on the direction of bending of plates’ front end. The new regimes have reduced mill downtime and the volume of products that are rejected.
