Limitations of the Wilson model for describing excess molar heat capacities of binary solutions

The forms of the concentration dependences of the excess molar heat capacities of 150 homogeneous binary solutions were analyzed. Limitations of the Wilson model as a tool for reproducing the local trends of these dependences, including those related to temperature changes, were revealed.
