On the electromagnetic energy of field and substance

摘要
The possibility of considering the electromagnetic energy as a sum of energies of the field and substance is justified based on an analysis of the expanded representation of the Poynting formula and the methods of description of the field-substance interaction adopted in the classical electrodynamics. This approach provides correct description of the energy characteristics of a broader class of electromagnetic processes than that accessible until now.
