Structural transformations and optical properties of As2S3 chalcogenide glasses

摘要
The effects of melt temperature Ti and quenching rate Vi on the structure and optical properties of As2S3 glasses is studied. It is found that the glass band gap increases with Ti and Vi, whereas a decrease is observed in the glass density, refractive index (from 2.71 to 2.48), and two-photon absorption coefficient (from 0.37 to 0.15 cm/MW), which is accompanied by an increase in the optical-breakdown damage threshold.
