摘要
The propagation of a cloud of electrons (precipitated from the radiation belt during local perturbations) in the magnetosphere is studied by means of numerical simulation. It is shown that when a spacecraft passes through such a cloud, bursts of particles are recorded whose characteristics are determined by the properties of the particles themselves and by the conditions of observation. The temporal and energy characteristics of electron bursts obtained from the data of the ARINA and VSPLESK satellite experiments are analyzed. A correlation between the energy of particles and the time of their recording is revealed for a number of bursts, allowing the region of radiation-belt perturbation to be localized. © 2015, Allerton Press, Inc.
