In this paper, we study the wave dynamics of a phantom field in traversable wormholes. We compute the radial equation of the phantom field in the background of traversable wormholes. The majority of a phantom scalar field is shown to be distributed near the throat. The more massive the phantom field is, the denser it is near the throat.
