Influence of Mineral Nitrogen Fertilization on Corn Grain Yield and Nitrogen Leaching

摘要
According to the corn grain yield and nitrogen content in grain as well as the amount of nitrogen leached in lysimeter water it is possible to conclude that sustainable mineral fertilizer rate for corn in the given agroecological conditions ranges between 150 and 200 kg /ha of mineral nitrogen. Additional amounts of nitrogen can cause increase in yield and in grain nitrogen content, but with stronger adverse effects on water quality.
