摘要
Clinical trials have been on the rise in Eastern Europe and the region remains a popular location to conduct medical research. The role of the clinical research organization (CRO) in Eastern Europe has evolved from being simply a research monitoring shop, collecting data for the pharmaceutical industry, to a more comprehensive, study management and project planning resource tool with added responsibility. A central focus for CROs in Eastern Europe is the recruitment and training of clinical investigators and other clinical research professionals, working actively to ensure that studies are managed and conducted to the highest possible industry standards. An increased demand for medical professionals and skilled workers in the clinical trial industry is expected in the near future, thus promoting Eastern Europe as a major hub for the conduct of clinical research.
