摘要
The mathematical model of the Partial Discharge (PD) location detection system in transformers, using the Ultra High Frequency (UHF) technique, is a system of non-linear sphere equations. These non-linear equations are solved to determine the PD source co-ordinates. In this paper, a non-iterative method is studied to determine the PD location. For the study, a simulation-based system is modelled in an EM-solver. The UHF technique-based detection of the PD source location needs a minimum of four sensors. The non-iterative algorithm’s significant drawback is that it provides two solutions. However, in the present study, five sensors are positioned at specified coordinates to attain the real PD position (from the two obtained solutions) with higher accuracy. © 2020, Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Computer Applications and Management.
