Uncovering frequency locking for systems affected by chirping

摘要
We solve the problem of detecting synchronization epochs for interacting self-oscillating systems from short, nonstationary, noisy time series. To detect epochs of synchronization between the systems we use methods based on estimating the phase coherence coefficient and signal power spectra in a moving window. The efficiency of these methods is demonstrated on simulated time series and experimental physiological signals.
