World data on the magnitude of the installed capacity of the wind power plants are presented. The high growth rates of the wind-generator market are pointed out. The dependence of the energy produced by the facility on the wind velocity, air flux density, and turbine diameter is shown. © 2008 Allerton Press, Inc.
