摘要
Abstract: To improve the conditions of coupling of the wheels of electric locomotives with rails it is proposed to use traction motors with independent excitation. For this purpose, it is proposed to use controlled excitation converters shunting each excitation winding in the power circuit of a single-phase dc electric locomotive. The power scheme of an electric locomotive and a mathematical model of the electric locomotive power circuit, which allows performing research on the operation of a controlled excitation converter, are given. The results of mathematical modeling of electromagnetic processes during operation of a controlled excitation converter in the normal excitation mode and in recharge and discharge modes are presented. The proposed solution provides smooth continuous control of the excitation currents of traction motors in independent and sequential excitation modes without breaking the power circuit and losing the traction. © 2022, Allerton Press, Inc.
