Simple grounded and floating meminductor emulators based on VDGA and CDBA with application in adaptive learning circuit

This paper presents a simple decremental/incremental meminductor emulator circuit using a voltage differencing gain amplifier, a current differencing buffered amplifier, and two grounded capacitors. The key features of the proposed circuit are design simplicity, implementation without using resistors and memristors, and its workability in both grounded and floating configurations. The operating frequency over which the proposed meminductor emulators work satisfactorily is extended up to 10 MHz. The comparison of the proposed meminductor emulator with the existing emulators has also been included. The design and simulation of the proposed meminductor emulator have been done in the Mentor Graphics Eldo simulation tool using 0.18 µm process technologies. The mathematical analysis of the proposed meminductor emulator is included and the performance has been verified in the application of an adaptive learning circuit.
