摘要
An extension of the study of two particle correlations used at RHIC to LHC energies (Pb + Pb at \documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$ \sqrt {s_{NN} } $$\end{document} = 5.5 TeV) is presented. The method is based on the two-dimensional Fourier Transform used to calculate the angular autocorrelation function in (η,ϕ) space. It does not require the identification of a leading particle and is, hence, optimized to the low-pt and medium-pt region at LHC where many minijets are overlapping. We discuss the feasibility of the analysis in heavy ion collisions at the LHC using HIJING and Pythia simulations.
