摘要
Even though iron salts are widely used in water and wastewater treatment, many questions surrounding the use of this element remain. Issues surrounding the impact of mixing conditions on floc structure and strength, the effect of reduction of ferric iron species on anaerobic sludge properties (including dewatering) and the possible options for choice of ligand in the modified photo-Fenton process for contaminant oxidation are discussed and aspects requiring further attention in these and other areas involving iron transformations presented. © 2002 Kluwer Academic Publishers.
