On Spectral Properties of Weighted Shift Operators Generated by Mappings with Saddle Points

A model class of weighted shift operators B generated by a mappings having saddle points is considered. A description of properties of B − λI for λ belonging to the spectrum Σ(B) is given. In particular, a necessary and sufficient condition for B − λI to be one-sided invertible is obtained.
