Let X be a smooth projective surface with Picard number 1. Let L be the ample generator of the Néron–Severi group of X. Given an integer r≥2\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$r\ge 2$$\end{document}, we prove lower bounds for the Seshadri constant of L at r very general points in X.
