Measuring the thickness of thin liquid films on solid surfaces using the laser-induced thermocapillary response

摘要
A contactless method based on the laser-beam-induced thermocapillary effect is proposed for measuring the thickness of a thin liquid film on a flat solid surface. The method can be also used to measure the films with inhomogeneous thicknesses formed on a nonhorizontal substrate.
