Low-Temperature Template Synthesis of [4,6,6-Trimethyl-2,6-dithioxo-3,7-diazanon-4-enebis(imidothioato)]copper(II) in Gelatin-Immobilized Cu2[Fe(CN)6] Matrix Materials

Complexation in gelatin-immobilized copper(II) hexacyanoferrate(II) matrices on contact withalkaline (pH 10) aqueous solutions containing dithiooxamide, acetone was studied. Under these conditions'template synthesis occurs to give the chelate CuL [L is 4,6,6-trimethyl-2,6-dithioxo-3,7-diazanon-4-enebis-(imidothioato) ligand], with dithiooxamide and acetone acting as ligand synthons. The reaction pattern was suggested. Attempted reaction of dithiooxamide and acetone in solution in the absence of Cu(II) does not yield this ligand.
