摘要
There are a variety of air cleaning devices that have been developed for the control of indoor allergens and irritants. These include both portable, room-sized units, and central units for use with a home’s heating and ventilation system. While air cleaners can help to reduce some allergens, such as those produced by cats and dogs, they are unlikely to work for most other indoor allergens. The use of air cleaners for the management of allergic disease is reviewed in this article, and specific recommendations for their use are provided. © 2002, Current Science Inc.
