摘要
The paper gives an overview on the recent developments in the field of "Next Generation Networks/Next Generation Access" by starting with an introductory part on the basic regulatory rules under the current EU framework for electronic communications which are relevant for NGN/NGA. This section is followed by a discussion of relevant contributions by the European Regulators' Group and a view on other European countries as well as a discussion of issues with regard to the Austrian situation. Finally, the paper summarizes several conclusions of the regulatory approaches discussed above. © 2008 Springer-Verlag.
