摘要
A mathematical model is suggested for the phenomenon that is observed when a circulation flow generates a meridional flow in a chemical reactor, separator, hydrocyclone, or free jet. The problem of a linear wave confined within a cone is solved in closed form. The flow of a liquid within distorted conical boundaries is considered. The Sternberg–Koiter and no-flow paradoxes are found to take place. The notion of quasi-cone flow is introduced. An exact solution of the problem is obtained for the particular case of irrotational flow.
