The formation of the wear surface profile is analyzed in plain bearings with misaligned shaft and bush axes. The analysis allowed us to reveal and experimentally substantiate the presence of a transitional wear zone, determine its quantitative parameters, and explain the mechanism of its formation. A comparative analysis of the results of numerical simulation and the experiment shows good compliance with qualitative and quantitative regularities.
