Effect of Pulse Current on Bending Springback of Nanocrystalline Ni Foil

A high-density pulse current was introduced into the V-shaped bending process to reduce the bending springback of nanocrystalline Ni foil. The effect of different pulse current densities on the springback angle was studied. The bending angles of the samples were annotated by SEM images, and the action mechanism of pulse current on the bending process of nanocrystalline Ni foil was analyzed by TEM images. The experimental results show that the bending springback angle of nanocrystalline Ni foil gradually decreases with the increase in the pulse current density. The results of TEM image analysis show that the introduction of pulse current during the bending deformation of nanocrystalline Ni foil can promote dislocation movement and grain rotation and thus promoting the transformation from elastic strain to plastic strain and improving the plasticity of nanocrystalline Ni foil.
