Main trends in the development of electric machines and the electromechanical systems on their basis

Modern trends in the development of electric machines and the electrical systems developed on their basis have been represented. It is shown how the worldwide processes (price increases for the generation of energy, depletion of the world's reserve of liquid hydrocarbons, limitations caused by global worming) cause trends in the activities of scientists and electrical engineers, as well as electric machine engineering and power electronics as a whole. © 2008 Allerton Press, Inc.
