摘要
This paper will demonstrate how rigorous mathematical programming techniques can be employed in the design of fibre-reinforced concrete mixes which have both high tensile strength and high ductility. For this it is necessary to know how the microstructural parameters of a mix influence its macroscopic behaviour. The microstructural-macroscopic relationships are reviewed, and the corresponding optimization problem formulated and solved by nonlinear mathematical programming.
