摘要
The occurrence of a fistula after pancreatic surgery can be of high clinical relevance for the postoperative course. Consideration of risk factors allows the implementation of strategies to prevent clinically relevant postoperative pancreatic fistulas by mitigating their natural course. Regular monitoring of clinical findings, blood tests, and drainage fluid in the postoperative period after pancreatic surgery allows timely detection and successful treatment of complications associated with pancreatic fistulas. A “step-up approach” has proven particularly effective in the treatment of abscesses and bleeding. © 2021, The Author(s).
