Synthesis of a Chiral Polyoxovanadate Derivative by Covalently Modification with a Chiral Amino Acid Ester

摘要
In this communication, a chiral polyoxometalate hybrid incorporating chiral amino acid ligands was prepared via the post-functionalization of tri(alkoxoyl) hexavanadates. The product was characterized by FT-IR, 1H NMR, ESI–MS, TGA as well as elemental analysis, and its structure was finally confirmed by single crystal X-ray diffraction. In addition to the chiral products, the crystal of the mesomer was also obtained, which was formed by racemization during the condensing reaction. The two stereoisomers showed different supramolecular assemblies due to different symmetries. This work opens a new mind towards rational design of chiral POM derivatives.
