Uranosilicates of the general formula MII[HSiUO6]2·2H2O (MII = Sr, Ba) were prepared by hydrothermal synthesis. Previously unknown intermediate crystal hydrates were separated and studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), IR spectroscopy, and thermal analysis. Polymorphic transitions α-Sr[HSiUO6]2 → β-Sr[HSiUO6]2 and α-Ba[HSiUO6]2 → β-Ba[HSiUO6]2 were revealed at 700 and 780°C, respectively.
