Abstract: The use of digital technology in metal cutting is considered. In particular, as an example, digital twins are used in the design of machining by end mills. Digital technologies for the design of high-speed machining operations are reviewed. The use of a digital twin in the manufacturing life cycle permits efficient design of the optimal high-speed machining cycles by one of the existing methods. © 2021, Allerton Press, Inc.
