Integration of refugees into labor markets: Potentials and challenges

Against the background of the migration movement in 2015/2016, cities such as Essen are now faced with the task of long-term integration of refugees who have a granted subsidiary protection. Successful integration is possible if participation in working life can be realized. This requires a focussed qualification of refugees and the support of companies and educational institutions through appropriate funding programs.
