Evaluating economic values of intelligent security services based on spatial information in South Korea

In this study, feasible future-oriented security service models were proposed using Contingent Valuation Method. This study has an academic and practical value in that it analyzed the economic values of the intelligent security service models for the first time in South Korea. In particular, it is expected that the results of this study will be used by the national or local governments as basic data for deciding which projects to support in the security field based on which service models are considered important by the citizens. Future studies are expected to contribute to the deployment of intelligent security services to local governments and to active policy support for those services by proposing the economic-value analysis of the integrated intelligent security services and detailed strategies for such for their deployment to local governments. © 2018, Korean Spatial Information Society.
