摘要
We studied the effect of taurine on renal function and the prooxidant–antioxidant balance in the kidneys and blood of rats under experimental rhabdomyolysis. It was found that taurine at a dose of 100 mg/kg of animal body weight improves renal function and normalizes prooxidant–antioxidant balance indicators, reducing the intensity of lipid and protein peroxidation and increasing catalase and glutathione peroxidase activities. © 2016, Pleiades Publishing, Inc.
