摘要
We report a case of a foreign body incidentally detected in the external auditory canal (EAC) as a result of the appearance of artifacts on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The patient was a 34-year-old woman referred to our hospital with the chief complaint of trismus. She manifested no auditory symptoms in her daily life nor during MRI. The foreign body was detected in the EAC, and we referred her to an otorhinolaryngological hospital for its removal. The body was made of iron and measured approximately 1 mm in length.
