Mortar Method Using Lagrange Multiplier Applied to the Analysis of Horseshoe-Shaped Waveguide

摘要
The application of the mortar method using Lagrange multiplier to the waveguides is the basic objective of the present paper. The application of the analytical integration technique is made with integrals written in homogeneous coordinates of the finite element. In such a way, the matrices are calculated once, being independent of the element dimensions and dependent only on the type and the order of the used approximation. To confirm, the cutoff wavelengths of the dominant and first high-order mode of the horseshoe-shaped waveguide are calculated.
