摘要
A thorough characterization of the deposits and ore-bodies of kyanite in the Middle and South Urals is presented, including data on the statistical mean compositions of ores and kyanites and the results of investigation of their concentration and refractory properties. Recommendations on the organization of commercial concentrate production are given. It is emphasized that wasteless production can be developed, yielding kyanite for refractories, silumin alloys, and ceramics, and quartz for molding sands and the glass industry). The products can meet rigorous requirements and be comparable with similar commercial products of foreign manufacturers.
