摘要：
This article discusses the methodology for, and results of, comparative fatigue strength tests using repeated flexure of two Warrington Seale 6×36 steel wire ropes 16.0 mm in diameter. The wire ropes differed with respect to the design of the organic core, fiber composition (hemp and jute), and the composition of the preservative compound used to impregnate the core (E-1 oil and ASKM compound).
