On the nature of turbulence in Rayleigh-Benard convection

摘要
In the present paper, we suggest a numerical method for the analysis of the motion of a viscous incompressible fluid under the passage to the turbulent mode in Rayleigh-Benard convection. We show that one possible scenario of the onset of turbulence in the problem is given by a subharmonic cascade of bifurcations of stable two-dimensional tori.
